Alex Smith

Alex Smith is editor of LabourList and a council candidate for Labour for St George’s ward in Islington. He spent 2007-2008 in the United States, working in New York and volunteering on the Obama campaign in Brooklyn, and later devised and directed the independent, grassroots organisation Drive for Obama.

An expert in online political strategy, Alex has written on British and American politics for Progress, Compass, Progressive London, the Government Gazette, House Magazine and Total Politics and spoken at the BBC College of Journalism and other events.
